Man Files Class Action Lawsuit Against Angie's List

One man filed a class action lawsuit on February 1 in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, alleging that Angie’s List constantly breaches its contract to consumers and violates the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act on a normal basis. What Does the Complaint State?

The various complaints state the company conceals truthful reviews and unbiased ratings my providing a way for service providers to appear higher in search results. The suit adds that service providers can do so by paying additional advertising fees. Allegedly, the company threatens service providers by stating they will appear at the end of search results unless they pay to appear in the higher results.
