According to a proposed class action lawsuit, JPMorgan Chase charged former inmates unreasonable fees to reclaim their money after they were released from prison.
Lawyers at Golomb Legalfiled a proposed class action lawsuit against JPMorgan, the largest bank in the United States, on behalf of a former convict who garnered national recognition as a prison artist.
According to the proposed class action, JP Morgan charged former inmates unfair and exorbitant fees for debit cards, while forcing the former inmates to get the cards in order to reclaim their money.
The suit was filed in September 2015 by members of the Golomb Legallegal team, and seeks damages for former convicts across the nation who allegedly suffered the same treatment by JPMorgan.
